Noel Gallagher: 'I wished I'd written 'Never Mind The Bollocks''

Former Oasis mainman Noel Gallagher has revealed that of all the albums ever released by other bands, he would most like to have written the Sex Pistols' classic 'Never Mind The Bollocks'.

During a question and answer session with The Sun readers, Gallagher was asked "If there was one album written by someone else that you could claim as your own, what would it be?", to which he replied: 'Never Mind The Bollocks'.

The guitarist also joked about the recent looting of his brother Liam's Pretty Green store in Manchester, responding to a question about what he made of the looting by saying "Every cloud and all that, eh?"

Asked about rumours that Simon Cowell had approached him about joining the X Factorjudging panel, Gallagher seem to confirmed he'd been approached, but said they never got down to talking about money.

He said of Cowell's offer:
Money was never mentioned. I told him he didn't really want me on there. He insisted he did. I insisted harder that he didn't and he gave up asking. My 11-year-old daughter has never forgiven me.

Gallagher also told of Robbie Williams apology email which he'd received, in which theTake That man had reportedly apologized for his behaviour. Asked what the email said, he replied: "Can't remember. Words to the effect of: "I'm sorry for being such a knob."
