Dionne Bromfield pays tribute to Amy Winehouse at V Festival

Dionne Bromfield payed tribute to Amy Winehouse during her set at V Festival this afternoon (August 21).

The singer, who was Winehouse's goddaughter, told the crowd before she played her cover of The Shirelles' 'Mama Said' that she had performed the track on Strictly Come Dancing with "a very special person". She performed with Winehouse on the ballroom dancing show in 2009.

She said:
I played this song on 'Strictly Come Dancing' with a very special person to me. But I want us to all dance and have a good time today.

Bromfield played a well attended set in the festival's Arena stage, which also included a cover of Cee Lo Green's 'Forget You'. Arriving on stage to The Stone Roses's'Waterfall', she played a selection of tracks from her debut album 'Good For The Soul', including recent single 'Foolin'.
