Mike Myers has signed up for a fourth instalment in the Austin Powers series. As reported by Hitflix, the Canadian has signed on to write, produce and star in the latest spy spoof.
After a poor reception for his last big screen character, The Love Guru, a return for his most successful creation has been widely predicted.
The last Austin Powers film, Goldmember, was released in 2002 and pulled in over $290 million (£178 million) worldwide.
Alongside a new entry as the goofy spy, Myers is currently working on a biopic ofKeith Moon, the legendary The Who drummer. The comedian is rumoured to play the musician.
Myer's other successful franchise, Shrek, released its fourth outing last year. His last on-screen performance was for Quentin Tarantino, in 2009's Inglorious Basterds.
No release date or title has yet been confirmed for Austin Powers 4. It is also unknown whether the franchise's director, Jay Roach, will return.
